Time Tracking
Track time on tasks and manage your work with the Kanban board.
Time Tracking
Zenaris makes it easy to track time spent on client work and convert it into billable invoices.
Creating Tasks
- Go to Tasks (Kanban board)
- Click Add Task or the + button in any column
- Enter task details:
- Title: Brief description of the work
- Client: Associate with a client
- Hourly Rate: Override client/default rate
- Status: Current state of the task
- Billable: Whether time should be invoiced
Time Entries
For each task, you can log time entries:
- Open a task
- Click Add Time Entry
- Enter:
- Date: When the work was done
- Hours: Duration (decimals allowed, e.g., 1.5)
- Notes: Description of work performed
Task Statuses
Tasks flow through these statuses:
- Backlog: Not started, waiting to begin
- In Progress: Currently being worked on
- Review: Completed, awaiting client review
- Done: Finished and approved
Billable vs Non-Billable
- Billable tasks: Time is included in invoices
- Non-billable tasks: Internal work, meetings, etc.
Toggle the billable status on any task before invoicing.
